What started twenty years ago, as a casual fitness gathering in Broadview, grew into fitness classes in Phinney Ridge and Ballard in North Seattle. With the help of friends’ referrals, the group kept expanding. When Covid-19 hit us, we moved classes online, staying fit and sane. This tight-knit welcoming group is the essence of Remix Workouts. It is community.
I, France Marien, am the founder of Remix Workouts. My goal is to offer a broad variety of accessible exercises, and to keep changing and evolving them, challenging clients while having fun laughing and being creative along the way. Consistency is key. No excuses. My clients say I am the queen of modifications because I will adapt exercises for any fitness level, making sure that whatever your ability, you always get a safe and thorough workout.
I started my career in movement as a performer over thirty years ago. I have trained a wide range of clients from grade school students to senior citizens, as well as exercisers with special needs: hip or knee replacement, hypermobility, injured athletes, autistic children, people with dementia, Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease.
In addition to a healthy body and well-being, family is also important to me. I am the mother of two adult sons. My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2015. His diagnosis prompted me to expand my expertise into the world of neurofitness training. I currently offer multiple online fitness classes, and am part of the Daily Dose PD teaching team, providing neurofitness training to people with Parkinson’s disease.
I am devoted to bringing the best out of people, to motivate the unmotivated, and to get everyone energized, committed, strong, and moving!
