ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Certified Fitness Instructor (ACE, American Council on Exercise) and owner of Remix Workouts, France Marien started her career in movement over 25 years ago, first as a performer touring K-12 schools, then as a fitness instructor in the Seattle area. She has worked with a wide range of clientele from grade school students to senior citizens, as well as students with special needs (hip or knee replacement, hypermobility, injured athletes, autistic children, overweight teenagers, seniors with dementia or Alzheimer’s, and Weight Watchers followers).
Over the years, France has developed a highly efficient workout system that she uses in her daily group classes. She teaches her students how to integrate fitness into their busy life encouraging them to become lifelong exercisers, always adapting routines for their current fitness level. In addition to teaching fitness classes, France worked in the corporate world for many years before starting her own company and knows from personal experience about the benefits of stress management through exercise. She shares this experience in her worksite programs and brings fitness to the workplace. France released a fitness application in the iTunes App Store (2012) and digital downloads for the Mac and PC available on Amazon.com (2013). Using her years of expertise, she created a dynamic, portable and adaptable workout system that deals a fresh workout each time the exerciser uses the programs. She currently teaches in Seattle providing cardio, strength, balance, and flexibility training through variety, intensity, and consistency.
